Ms. Sonia Akhter Puspo is a dedicated and experienced mental health professional in clinical psychology, psychosocial counseling, psychotherapy, and mental health training. She holds a B.Sc. in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Jagannath University (JNU).

She is a Master Trainer in the Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), certified by the World Health Organization (WHO). She is also a Certified Practitioner of Transactional Analysis (TA-101) from ITAA, USA. She has received professional training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from Emocare, India, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) from the University of Dhaka.

Currently, she serves as a Psychosocial Counselor and Clinical Psychologist at Moner Bondhu, where she provides psychotherapy, psychological assessments, counseling, and mental health training services. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, mindfulness, relationship and family issues, parenting challenges, addiction, psychosexual concerns, and personality disorders. She is actively involved in designing and implementing mental health and psychosocial support programmes for diverse populations across Bangladesh.
