Moner Bondhu is excited to have organized the prestigious and internationally renowned World Health Organization (WHO) Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP) training interventions. 🧡❤️
On January 2nd, 2025, with support from the National Institute of Mental Health Bangladesh (NIMH), NCDC, and World Health Organization (WHO), we successfully completed the first batch of Training of Trainers (ToTS) with a group of doctors, psychiatrists, and psychologists from different districts in Bangladesh.
mhGAP is a groundbreaking initiative by WHO, designed to bridge the gap between mental health care needs and available resources, providing essential guidelines to care for individuals suffering from mental, neurological, and substance use (MNS) conditions.
This year, our mission is ambitious and exciting– to train 750 doctors, psychologists, health workers, and nurses in Dhaka and beyond.
A huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to our brilliant facilitators—Dr. M.M Jalal Uddin, Dr. Afroja Akter, Dr. Shahriar Farouque, Dr. Muntasir Maruf, Lead Psychologist Kazi Rumana Haque, and Mehadi Mobarak Aman—for their dedication and expertise.
